Summer is officially here!
… so relax …
and enjoy this extraordinary story
As groomer’s we see so many animals with a variety of health problems from allergies, to IBD, anxiety issues, aggression, arthritis, seizures, cancer…and so on…
As we’ve discussed with many of our clients, diet and lifestyle can play a big role in the development of these types of illnesses, but one thing that is not discussed very often is the role that vaccinations can play.
Here are two articles that open that discussion:
Vaccination Dangers for Dogs and Cats
Vaccinating unhealthy pets: Beware reactions & vaccine failure
Click here to view the law on rabies in Wisconsin. We do have a provision that would allow your pet to be exempted from his/her annual re-vaccination if your veterinarian writes a letter stating that it is inadvisable due to the animals current health status.
I hope you find this information helpful in continuing to make the best health choices possible for your beloved companions!

Hello Everyone,
I would just like to pass on the following link from The Dog Food Project web site concerning several voluntary recalls of dry pet food and various supplements. Please take a moment and scroll down the entire page as their is more than one company, product and brand being recalled.
If you follow the links within the various recalls, you will find the specifics on the food and/or supplements being recalled and a list of the symptoms for salmonella poisoning in humans and pets alike. There are also instructions for what to do with these products if you have any of them and how to get your money back.
Want to know how the food your feeding rates? Check out these web sites:
www.dogfoodanalysis.com or www.dogfoodadvisor.com
Each site provides an exhaustive list of commercial dog foods with links to the nutritional analysis of each!
Another excellent website for information on how the pet food industry is regulated, and to learn to understand and evaluate commercial dog food products is:
We highly recommend it!
Take Care,
Kim & Kayla
